Pictures from the Hatball battlegame held on Apr. 9, 2000 at White Tail Hollow. The first picture below is a diagram of the game field. There are two teams ( White Team and Red Team). Goals are placed at either end of the rectangular field (in this case we used two upturned toboggan shields). Each team starts off anywhere they like behind the starting line for their team. The goal is simple- to capture the other team's hat (which is in their goal) and place it into your team's goal. Variations such as 'only one score per person', thrown weapons allowed, class battle, armor allowed, walls stop magic, etc. make this an infinately modifiable, yet simple and fun battlegame. This instance we played all players at first level with 60 count deaths, 30 count wounds, and unlimited lives (per game and limited use abilities and spells were usable once per 'score'.
