Pictures from Stormwall Midreign; May 5-7, 2000 at Almost Heaven Campgrounds. Rather than split the pictures into several sub-pages, I decided to have them in three sections on this page (general/bells & blindfolds tourney/ costumes) . I apologize in advance for the load times (but I think they are worth it).
Friday evening consisted of the penny-ante poker game that (on all accounts) went very well and very long into the wee hours of the morning. Request from the players- "Tinker and Farid are welcome to come to our poker games anytime!" Saturday started off slow. By noon there were still only a handful of people in attendance, but by 3pm we were up to about 40 attendees. Once we had a good number of people, we held the oft threatened Bells and Blindfolds tourney. A great time was had by all and it was very amusing for the spectators (especially the dervish Azeem). Congratulations to Misteslaus for winning the individual category and Vaar (substituting for the disappearing Azeem) and Reaver for winning the team category. Special recognition goes to Damia "Killshot" Akestor for somehow managing to capture the killing blows of most battles on camera (even solved two Reeve arguments). Thanks to Eskana, Sable and Drax for helping the tourney run smoothly and enjoyably!
At court we held a costume contest. The theme was 'come as an Amtgarder you love or hate'. To the best of my knowledge there was not one single 'hate' entry! The winner was selected by crowd applause and received a $5 gift certificate to JoAnn's.

    Special thanks to Kandon Windwood (as Vaargard Malorius) and Johtann Firesteed (as Corwin Blackstone) for being the only two people (other than the Duke) to bring a costume rather than simply trade clothes with someone (although McJope and Drax and Chewie and Little John were almost amusing enough to justify it). Feast was great (BurgersnDawgs!) with enough for thirds for everyone. The weather was great and with the exception of Misteslaus' nose, a good time was had by all! Thanks to everyone who attended and made it such a memorable event.

I want to thank everyone who showed up to Stormwall's Midreign event. We
all had alot of fun. I enjoyed watching the Bells and Blindfold tourney
which was won by Misteslaus. During court and feast some of us dressed
like other Amtgarders (Vaargard as Corbin, I was Ka Wei, Lil John and Chewie
swaped clothes, Ka Wei was Damien, Kandon was Vaargard, and the winner
Damien was Tar'get.) All in all we all had fun either hanging out or the
few that played penny poker. Also I would like to thank Cross for helping
with feast.
